The Director and Pedagogical Council, as a professional body, are responsible for educational work. Educational work organization is carried out through three segments:

  • learning and development of students personal competence
  • development of personality and social cognition of the students
  • leisure time issues

The basic goal in direct educational work with students is to enable the students get free and comprehensive development of their personality through an organized, well designed and systematic way, and preventive acting against all forms of asocial and destructive behaviour.

1. Goal

The primary goal of educational work in terms of learning, From this basic goal, there is stemmed a series of specific objectives, as follows: development of work habits, general competence of students and formation of models of cooperative behaviour (work in pairs, work in micro-groups, so that the advanced students could help those having difficulties in learning certain subjects)..

Main programme tasks are the following:

  • regular monitoring of students success in school
  • teaching students about methods and techniques of efficient learning.
  • creating conditions for optimum work and learning
  • eliminating all disturbing factors present during learning (observing the house rules and daily activities schedule)

For realization of these goals the students are divided in six educational groups. Reaching these goals is effectuated in cooperation with parents, teachers at schools and pedagogical and psychological school department. Periodically, there are organized professional meetings with pedagogical department of schools for the purpose of cooperation encouragement.

2. Goal

Development of personality and social cognition of students. The basic goal is development of responsible and creative personality, having respect for the self and others.

Programme tasks:

  • establishing and developing friendship relations
  • encouraging self-awareness development
  • encouraging and finding optimal strategies for individual problems and crises solving
  • morale and other values system building;
3. Goal

Leisure time issues, learning and development of students’ personal competence. The purpose of education in leisure time is making students able to use their leisure time, either individually or in groups pursuant to their needs, desires and interests.

Objectives of leisure time education are:

  • development of personality
  • relaxation
  • entertainment and amusement

Educational tasks for appropriate use of leisure time are intended to:

  • students acquiring practical knowledge about passive and active rest, relaxation and amusement;
  • students learning about the principles in order to be able to organize their leisure time on their own:
  • duly and fully inform the students and enable them to use major facilities necessary to plan their leisure time in their living environment:
  • preparation and participation of Home in competitions and manifestations of youth creativity:
  • sightseeing the town and surrounding areas:
  • finding possibilities for organization of summer holiday at the end of the school year:
  • organizing one-day excursion
